A professional hub for live television production

shiftory brings together engineers, directors and designers who make news programmes, interviews and live shows run smoothly from studios across the United Kingdom.

Our story

We started as a small group of studio engineers who were tired of seeing great programmes held back by avoidable technical problems. Today we help broadcasters integrate equipment, shape camera work, treat acoustics and design lighting in a way that holds up under live pressure.

Our approach is simple: understand the programme, plan the technical side honestly, rehearse with the crew and leave behind documents that keep standards high long after we have gone.

How we work

Reliability first

Live means no second take. Every plan we write includes a fallback.

Crew-centred

We design for the people who operate the gallery, not just for the equipment.

Plain language

Technical documents that producers, directors and engineers can all read.
